Narottama Dasa Thakura was a leading acarya in
the Gaudiya Vaisnava line. He was the only disciple of Srila Lokanatha
Goswami . Srila Narottama Dasa Thakura helped bring the books of
the Goswamis from Vrindavana to Bengal and Orissa. In Kheturi gram,
Bengal, he inaugurated the first Gaura Purnima festival after the
disappearance of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. He is most famous for
his Prarthana, a composition of thirty-three Bengali songs.
